I tried it out and it works!!
I uploaded this photo I took while in Spain from Picasa to Flickr then in Vox I imported the image from Flickr.

OMFG!! It's Snowing!!

That's right, it's snowing in Maine and it's April 4th.

The way the weather has been these past few years it seams as if the seasons have shifted back bay a month. This is more like early March / late February weather not April.

The forecast for the week was rain and the mid 40's not snow and the lower 30's!!

Lifehack: Share files using the AllPeers Firefox Extension

AllPeers allows you to share your files privately and securely and with who you choose. AllPeers is part of a new breed of P2P file sharing where you can specify who can access your shared content.

Since AllPeers is a Firefox extension the set up is a very easy. Once it is installed all that is required is that you create an account using a valid email address.

Once you're set up you can add contact either by their AllPeers username or email address.

My VOX API Wish List

This is my wish list of things I'd like to see in the Vox API:

Access to content via Web Services using REST
Cross Posting to and from Wordpress or Blogger or whatever
Ability to use Desktop/Offline Blogging tools like Bloggar, Deepest Sender, w.bloggar, Drivel (for Linux)or even gasp! Windows Live Writer
Some type of frame work to build Widgets or modules
Integration with Picasa
Integration with del.icio.us or Simpy or Ma.gnolia
Ability to embed an RSS Feed

Yes this is a tall order but Facebook has so far proven that it is feasible by opening up their site with an API and releasing some of their Source Code.

Does any one else have any thing that'd like to see in the API?

"AROUNDMe is made up of a core and a bunch of social tools that plug into the core to give you a flexible social tool kit.

Core features include:

Each person can create and manage their account.
Each person can create multiple identities. You may wish to, for instance create an professional and a leisure time identity that you can use when interacting with different social tools.
Each person can interact with an activity network; a respected network of people based upon your shared activities. Testimonials and blocking are built in as standard.
Each person gets messaging, file management, bookmarking, tagging and a whole bunch of tools to aid you in social filtering, knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Permissions can be set for people to grant access to tools based on, for instance a level of membership.
The interface language can be selected when multiple language packs are installed.
Each person can select the languages that they can read. Only content in those languages is presented to them.
Content can be localized to a personal immediate locality.

Facebook Opens Some of their Server Code

Thrift is a software framework for scalable cross-language services development. It combines a powerful software stack with a code generation engine to build services that work efficiently and seamlessly between C++, Java, Python, PHP, and Ruby. Thrift was developed at Facebook, and we are now releasing it as open source.

Requirements
Thrift has been widely tested and deployed on Facebook's systems. Though the code is designed for portability, we can't guarantee that it'll run on every system. Here are some basic things you'll want to have. (Note that you do not need to have every language package installed if you only intend to use some of them.)

A relatively POSIX-compliant *NIX system

GNU build tools (Autoconf 2.59c+)

boost 1.33.1+

g++ 4.0+

Java 1.5+ / Apache Ant

Python 2.4+

PHP 5.0+
